Brewery and distribution facility, Magor

Text block with details about a brewery and distribution facility project for client AB InBev, valued at £30 million, with ongoing projects since 2014.

Since 2013, we have delivered a wide range of capital investment projects at AB InBev’s Magor site, acting as their preferred principal contractor, on one of the largest breweries in the UK, with more than one billion pints of Budweiser, Corona and Stella Artois made on site.

The following projects exemplify some of the successive programme of works completed to date:

Pasteurising Building Extension: Under a design and build contact we built a new building between the bottling and kegging areas, to house a new Pasteurising unit. Our works comprised the construction of a steel framed building extension on pad foundations, slab edge thickening and reinforced concrete floor slab.

Project Theresa: The design and build to provide expansion to a high bay warehouse, expansion of the existing packaging and storage facility, a new Processing Building and Offices for the Cold Block facility.

External work included a new lorry trailer park.

Conversion Vessels Area: As part of a design and build contract we carried out the work to install foundation bases and service connections for two new conversion vessels into the existing Brewhouse Engineering Workshop, along with two new grist cases.

Project Galileo Phase 2: As a design and build contract we carried out a major expansion project. We constructed a new storage and distribution warehouse, providing an additional 9,472m2 of floor space. We also created a new hard-standing area and loading bays, widened the southern access road to create an express lane, created a 14-space  HGV holding area, along with landscaping and associated works.

Project Galileo Phase 1: Under a design and construct contract we delivered a new warehouse building, 3 x 25m span and 175m long. We carried out; ground works, pad foundations, installation of a new service road, installation and commissioning of building services including low energy lighting and ventilation.
