Promoting STEM to all ages

As a member of the Careers Wales Education Business Exchange, we are wholly committed to improving education and career prospects for young people across Wales. We work in partnership with and engage with local schools, colleges and universities and showcase the diverse and rewarding opportunities that are available within the construction industry.

Our programme of STEM engagement is delivered via:

  • Construction Career advice sessions and assemblies for pupils who are thinking about their options and career choices after school.
  • Creating Construction Ambassadors for projects.
  • Hosting a Girls into STEM/ Women in Construction focused day for Key Stage 3 female students from secondary schools.
  • Attendance at career days in schools, colleges and universities and larger career events such as Career Wales Choose Your Future Events.

We manage and develop a series of engagements that enhance students’ learning. We are supported by our CITB Construction Ambassadors and STEM Ambassadors who promote the industry through educational outreach. We are a proud signatory of the Tomorrow’s Engineers Code, as managed by Engineering UK, and work with them to provide meaningful and diverse learning experiences.
