Construction of a 200m inland Surf Lake using ground-breaking Wavegarden cove technology – the first of its kind in the UK. This exciting facility will generate up to 1,000 quality waves per hours, ranging from 50cm (1.7ft) to almost 2m (6.5ft) in height.

The new build also includes an education centre for schools and colleges, a café and bar, a surf shop. There’s also external works for landscaped gardens and car parks

The construction of a new inpatient unit providing individual en-suites and family over-night stay facilities within each bedroom, along with an extension to the existing offices, a new inpatient wing and reconfiguration of internal layouts.

The new wing also includes a therapy Spa, a new ambulance entrance, landscaped gardens, new cafe, break out spaces, and sanctuary room for relaxation and reflection.

Our works also included the demolition of the existing in-patient unit.

As part of improving the patient experience the redesigned IPU will provide the right clinical setting to allow nurses to provide the highest quality care.
