Construction of a 200m inland Surf Lake using ground-breaking Wavegarden cove technology – the first of its kind in the UK. This exciting facility will generate up to 1,000 quality waves per hours, ranging from 50cm (1.7ft) to almost 2m (6.5ft) in height.

The new build also includes an education centre for schools and colleges, a café and bar, a surf shop. There’s also external works for landscaped gardens and car parks

Concast No.3. Works associated with the construction of casting
633-machine main bases, emergency water tower and turret bay. Oxygen filter station/housing foundations and rail tracks for the tundish car.

Blast Furnace No. 4 Break out of refectory concrete to enable demolition
of main structure down to cheese block. Installation of furnace section bases. Break out cast floor/ramps and reinstatement with new refractory. Slag pool walls removal and replacement including refractory gunning

Blast Furnace No. 5 The repairs to three hot blast stoves, inhaul conveyor systems and high level bunkers. The furnace was completely rebuilt and operational in 9 months.
