Margam Country Park is a multi-layered site of outstanding historical importance, with both Grade I and II buildings.

In order to conserve the important buildings and structures within the park and increase visitor numbers, funding was secured via the Heritage Lottery Fund, the European Regional Development Fund and NPTCBC.

We undertook major conservation and refurbishment work to the; Castle Terrace Garden and Walls, Broadwalk and Steps, Bamboo Garden, Rills and Ponds, South Ha-Ha, Orangery Terrace, Temple of Four Seasons, Vine House, Chapter House and Ivy Cottage.

The park remained open to the public whilst works were carried out.
