Construction of a 200m inland Surf Lake using ground-breaking Wavegarden cove technology – the first of its kind in the UK. This exciting facility will generate up to 1,000 quality waves per hours, ranging from 50cm (1.7ft) to almost 2m (6.5ft) in height.

The new build also includes an education centre for schools and colleges, a café and bar, a surf shop. There’s also external works for landscaped gardens and car parks

Insole Court is a listed Grade II* building with Grade II listed Stables.

The gardens are included on the Welsh Register of Historic Gardens as Grade II*.

Phase 1 Saw the restoration of the site’s historic stable block and new build potting sheds and cafe spaces.

Phase 2 covered restoration work the main house, alongside the adaptation and a new build community space in the stable yard.

The project has hosted knowledge transfer events for Women in Architecture and The Prince’s Regeneration Trust.

The BBC used Insole Court as the backdrop to their adaptation of the Evelyn Waugh classic comic novel Decline and Fall.
