To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day, Andrew Scott Ltd headed to our current project, The Wave in Bristol on Friday 21st June. The visit was accompanied by 30 schoolgirls who were informed and inspired by female staff currently employed in engineering.
On site, the Year 9 female pupils from The Castle School in Thornbury were given a tour of the unique and high-tech inland surfing facility. They heard personal insights from our female employees and their experiences within the construction industry. The students also heard from Hydrock’s female structural engineers on their roles and input within the project.
The visit was a terrific opportunity to raise awareness of the amazing career opportunities that are available to women within the industry. Andrew Scott Ltd are proud to have been a part of this brilliant campaign to promote the profile of women in engineering.
