Apprentices

We support a wide range of trade apprenticeships, which is a way of learning a NVQ construction skill at college whilst gaining supervised work experience at the same time.
We also work in partnership with specialist apprentice organisations, Cyfle (for projects in West Wales) and Y-Prentis (for projects in East Wales), who help us link their registered apprentices to work placement opportunities with our on-site specialist contractors.

Some of our best project managers began their working life as apprentices with us, and have now progressed through the ranks to senior positions, running their own construction projects.

We have an annual intake of directly employed Apprentices in carpentry, bricklaying, electrical, groundworks, motor mechanics and plant mechanics. We hold regular recruitment drives in order to support young people into the world of work.

I feel that the amount I have learnt during my placement with Andrew Scott Ltd is my greatest achievement. It has provided me with a level of experience that far surpasses many of my peers from my University course and it’s what sets me apart from them
