The restoration project has transformed the castle into a modern heritage attraction, complete with luxury accommodation, a riverside restaurant and a summer events programme.
Phase 1: Stabilisation and repair of the Grade I listed Castle Wall.
Phase 2: Repairs, conservation and adaption of six dilapidated buildings within the Castle grounds, transformed into facilities for the community and recreational use including; conference suite, classroom facilities, a restaurant, an open air concert area and holiday let accommodation.
Phase 3: The restoration of the Regency gardens and features.
As a member of the Welsh Traditional Building Forum, we were able to utilise our strong working relationship with The Tywi Centre, a specialist heritage skills training facility in Llandeilo. Through our association with the Tywi Centre, we over-achieved our Targeted Recruitment and Training targets for the project by providing 100-weeks work experience for two local trainee stonemasons which we sponsored through their Apprenticeships.

Andrew Scott Ltd were pro-active in their management of all aspects of the project and worked collaboratively with the design team in providing practical solutions. They maintained a firm control of quality, time and budget which safeguarded the successful delivery of the Client’s scheme.
